A month ago, i met with Africa’s most “rubber body movement” comic actor, Kingsley Ogbonna, DAUDA one evening between 10 pm – 2am at EKO HOTELS & SUITES, Lagos, where we were lodged for the Africa International Film Festival, AFRIFF 2015. We spent hours talking inside his car, quite an interesting discussion ranging from his career to family and his next projects.
One of the things he told me during our discussion was what his father told him some time ago. According to him, he said his father once told him that the best honor a son can give to his father is to give him a befitting burial and he boasted that by God’s Grace he has already spent to achieve his father's wish.
Then, I asked him what form of video and photography coverage he would want for the burial and surprisingly, he told me he wants no video or pictures. He asked me, "who puts on a video of their loved ones' burial to visitors when they visit or who gives visitors burial album to see".
Dauda said to me that all he needed from me is to grace the burial and let: 1. the world know that he is that good son that gave his father a befitting burial.
2. The father too should know that he buried him honorably. This sounded funny to me, but honestly that is exactly what he wants, of course, he said he is willing to pay all the charges I will incur just to fulfill this promise of coming for the burial.

The D-day came; I have already put off all other engagements to make that Dauda’s visit count.
Immediately after the wake keep, I did a thumbnail review;

Few days after the interment, I blogged it too.
