Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is out for the Well-being of All Igbos
OHA N'EZE NDI IGBO STAGES UNWAVERING AND UNAPOLOGETIC WIDE ACCEPTANCE OF GOVERNOR IKPEAZU
The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has emphasized the need for unity and peace amongst the Igbo nation, saying that it will enable them survive the economic situation in Nigeria.
The Governor, who was speaking at the Unity Forum, organised by the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Worldwide under the leadership of Chief Gary Enwo-Igariwey and South-East Governors held at the International Conference Centre, Owerri, with the theme "The Igbos and the State of the Nation; Prospects and Challenges", urged the people to love one another, assuring that God will not abandon them.
He pointed out that the way forward for the country is to aggregate into regional powers in terms of economy and facilities for the people. Furthermore, the need for a huge market and rail was highlighted as well the reticulation within the South Eastern States.
Dr. Ikpeazu said that for prosperity to spread in the country, the onus lies on the Igbos, who he said have strong entrepreneurial spirit and contribute greatly in the GDP of their immediate economic environment. He pointed out agriculture, trade and SMEs as keys to sustaining the economy, stressing that they should be pursued.
